ACNM Continuing EducationRecognizing the need for continuing education as well as the need to assure the public that CNMs and CMs are practicing with a current knowledge base, the ACNM Board of Directors initiated the Continuing Competency Assessment (CCA) program. One option for participants enrolled in the CCA program is to accrue ACNM approved CEUs or ACCME Category I approved Continuing Medical Education (CMEs) hours. Applying for ACNM CEUs:The CE Section is pleased to announce a revised and streamlined Type I application. We heard you and we've responded to your suggestions. In an effort to better serve those that submit applications to have workshops and educational offerings approved for ACNM CEUs, the following improvements have been made:-the post test question requirement has been eliminated
-an electronic submission option has been added so that you may submit only one hard copy and a CD -the number of pages of the application has been reduced from 23 to 11

Type II application: Participants This application packet is for a CCA Participant Type II Application to the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) for program approval of Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Send your questions to ceu@acnm.org.Join the CE Reader Panel!The Continuing Education (CE) Section of the ACNM Division of Education is seeking volunteers to serve on the CE Reader Panel. The primary role of members of the CE Reader Panel is to review continuing education programs for approval for ACNM continuing education units (CEUs). Members are appointed by the Chair of the CE Section for a three-year term, subject to reappointment by the Chair. This is a great and simple way to serve your profession to ensure quality continuing education for midwives.
