Webmaster/Graphic Designer
The American College of Nurse-Midwives seeks a Webmaster/Graphic Designer to oversee ACNM professional and consumer websites from a technical and visual standpoint, working closely with content developers on staff and volunteer leadership to create effective, visually appealing, high-impact online communications.
Specific responsibilities will include: creating templates for key events and marketing; managing and maintaining the ACNM Web site and audio and video content and; facilitating and maintaining e-mail discussion groups. This person will also be involved in the lay-out and design of traditional print marketing and promotional materials, such as a quarterly newsletter, house ads and flyers and e-vites.
The ideal candidate will be a creative team player with strong design and technical skills who is interested in joining a dynamic, mission-driven organization where creativity is highly valued. Background in non-profit advocacy environment, use of social networking media, and interest in health care issues is a plus.
This position requires proficiency in the latest version of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook) as well as in-depth knowledge of ColdFusion, HTML, Dreamweaver, InDesign, and PhotoShop. Familiarity with Contribute (content management system), MSSQL and MySQL, Fireworks and Illustrator (for maintenance and technical support of Website, blog and e-newsletter) also required.

The American College of Nurse-Midwives seeks an intern to assist with our legislative and regulatory initiatives related to midwifery and maternal child health issues. Because of the nature of the work involved, successful candidates must be able to work at least two days per week.
